Berries n' Cream Smoothie

Hey there!  July is my favorite month...

  1. It's the summer and that's my favorite season

  2. I absolutely love to celebrate America + the 4th of July

  3. My birthday is in July... helloooo July 7!

  4. The sun shines, almost everyday

  5. The days are longer!

  6. I really could go on and on and on.

As I mentioned above, I love these warm summer days. I find that I crave lighter cooler foods in the summer like hydrating fruits and morning smoothies. You all know by now that I am a huge fan of smoothies in the morning. I love that you can create different combinations and pack them up with nutrition for a boost of energy first thing in the morning.

The smoothie recipe that I have for you today is so good you are going to forget it's healthy. This one is packed with flavor, protein, nutrition and has a delicious balance of fruitiness and creaminess. I make this one at least once a week, it has become for of my favorites. I'll even make this for dessert when I am craving something sweet.

Raspberries and Acai give this recipe a boost of vitamins and antioxidants that help ward off illness-causing free radicals. Chia seeds give you a boost of vitamin C, magnesium, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. Maca powder is a root-derived powder that help balance the bodies delicate endocrine system to help cope with stress (source) and help boost energy, naturally, which is why I love it.

I hope you enjoy!
