Hello June: Weekend Photo Roundup
Some weekends just knock it out of the park. They end up being the perfect mix of whatever you need at the time. For me this past weekend was about being outside, active and soaking up some luscious vitamin D. I am always incredibly inspired when I'm near the water as well, and spending the weekend at our beach share house in Montauk, NY was absolute summery perfection. Here's the photo roundup...
Friday on the LIRR impatiently waiting to get to "the end"...
Upon arrival and a quick change, we made it to our favorite Friday night spot, Swallow East for a delicious meal and a Rolling Stones cover band (unexpected but fun!).
Saturday we were up early, on the bikes for breakfast and a ride around town. Followed by lots of R&R shore side. Just what the doctor ordered!
Of course some refreshments by my side -- this is my favorite combo fresh lime juice + seltzer -- gotta hydrate!
And a few hours to enjoy Elle Magazine + newly released The One & Only by Emily Giffen, my favorite beach-read author, it's soooooo good - get. it. now!
...and some fresh lavender to really get into relaxation mode.
Another bike ride at dusk and we caught this picturesque moment.
Sunday was all bike rides, beach + BBQs. Surprise, surprise! #montauklife
We stumbled upon this breathtaking overlook and boy was it worth it!
And then parked it on the chaise lounges at Navy Beachwith a muddled mixed berry mint mojito...it IS summer vacation after all.
Of course an east end weekend is not complete without some local seafood on the grill. One of my absolute favorites, delicious swordfish + veggie skewers. They just taste like summer to me. :)
Topped off the weekend with a few moments of reflection in front of this warm, golden and beautiful sunset. A lovely way to ring in June!
