hi! it’s so nice to meet you!

I’m DeAnna - a certified holistic health and life coach, corporate executive, mom to two gorgeous girls and a rescue pup, and positive change maker.

A little about me…

I’m a native New Yorker turned bicoastal babe and in “normal times” I’m either on a plane or planning my next trip...travel is a part of my ethos.  Like most of us, I am multi-passionate and wear many hats, that goes for both my life and my business.

I’m a partner + mother + board certified holistic health coach + international certified life coach + idea generator + positive change agent + writer + explorer + speaker + marketer + blogger + foodie + amateur natural foods chef + recipe creator + life hack aficionado + dog lover + happiness instigator.

How I got here…

I’ve been on my wellness journey for almost 15 years. In college at the University of Rhode Island I spent many years in leadership and wellness positions. I became fascinated with taking ownership of your life and being able to create your life on your own terms. That led me to get official training and become a certified Life Coach with Coach, Inc. back in 2009. I went on to receive an Accredited Certified Coach (ACC)  designation with the International Coach Federation (ICF) after hundreds of hours of coaching clients as well as rigorous life coach training and advanced training. From there my first blog, Create Your Great Life, was born and out of that I started working with 1:1 clients and developing programs and my monthly newsletter the “Vision for Livin’ Letter.

I unequivocally believe in a few things:

showing up, exploring nature, your relationship to self, sleep, intuitive eating, implementing systems and bringing order to chaos

Add another hat…

After a few years of working with clients I kept seeing several themes pop-up: a lack of self-care, work/life imbalance, to-do list overload and general burnout as well as a lot of confusion around intuitive eating and wellness. Having worked through my own life long health struggles as well as body image issues, I decided to take my passion for healthy living clean eating and wellness and get some more training. I found the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) - the world’s largest nutrition school — and everything around me changed from my eating habits to the depth at which I was able to help clients impact their own life.

I graduated IIN in 2013, went on to sit for the national board exam and became a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. I loved the school and community so much that I later went on to become a Mentor Coach and Coaching Circles Coach where I was able to guide hundreds of aspiring coaches through their training program. Through that meaningful work, I was able to witness first-hand the hurdles that many new coaches go through and help them overcome obstacles to growth and success.

Now, I am a proud ambassador of the school — thinking of attending IIN or want to know more about the school? Just ask me to Share a FREE sample class with you or click here to access it yourself! I am also an IIN Community Moderator so if you do attend the school you will see me supporting fellow coaches-in-training in a private Facebook group dedicated to supporting new coaches on their pursuit to ‘living well’ and creating wellness-based businesses - it’s a lot of fun.

Essentially, I am a knowledgeable and passionate partner for people who desire to work in the health and wellness industry and make it a profitable, sustainable reality. Outside of IIN, I mentor private clients specifically new health coaches and wellness practitioners who want to get to the next level in their life and wellness businesses. I know first hand that it takes not only a strong vision and plan, but dedicated accountability and a strong support system to put those plans into action. I’m here for it!

I do this by combining nearly a decade of experience working at a dynamic Top 50 international law firm in New York City doing marketing, strategy and business development --  and nothing makes me happier than applying what I learned in that environment to help wellness entrepreneurs get off the ground and thrive by pursuing their brilliant ideas in health coaching, life coaching and lots of wellness-based businesses as well as making an income to support their heart-centered lives and business goals. After all, most wellness service providers do not get into the wellness industry because they love business and that’s where I can help!

Remember that multi-passionate part I mentioned…

In addition to my life coaching and health coaching training and my business background, I have run successful workshops all over New York City and virtually including positive energy groups, vision board workshops as well as a clean eating support group at Whole Foods and now my virtual New Moms Talk Group. I love the community and accountability and collective energy that is unique to working in groups!

Lastly, but certainly not least…

In March of 2017 my life changed FOREVER. I became a mom to the most beautiful baby girl, Emerson Ava, and in an instant my whole being shifted and a new layer of perspective was added. This new role made everything in my life and work more meaningful. Having my daughter was both the greatest joy and greatest challenge of my life. After a difficult birth I overcame postpartum depression  (something people rarely discuss), found my groove as a new mom in a big city, navigated a long-term breastfeeding relationship and generally found my groove and confidence as a mother, partner and woman – sometimes with more assertion than others. ;

Everyday since then on my journey in motherhood has been an adventure, a teacher and a gift. Make no mistake though, it has not been easy and I love connecting with other moms to discuss the joys, challenges, products that are LIFE CHANGING (you know those products I’m talking about!) and everything in between.

Whether it is supporting new coaches on their path to create a full-time dynamic business or creating a safe space for woman (and mothers) to feel seen, heard and valuable, I am honored to call this little space of the internet home and get to know so many interesting and amazing people along the way.

With love and gratitude,

DeAnna
